[Tiny Tip] Update Lots of Formulas at Once
If you need to update the same part of many formulas, do not edit them one by one. Use Find and Replace and tell Excel to look inside the formulas.
Steps
Select your range, or press Ctrl + A for the whole sheet
Press Ctrl + H
Click Options
Set Look in to Formulas
Enter the text to find and replace
Click Replace All (or Find All if you want to go through what will be updated before updating it)
Example
If your formulas contain Sheet1! and you want them to point to another sheet, replace:
Sheet1!
with
Sheet2!
Excel will update every matching formula at once.
Notes
Make sure you are updating ONLY the formulas that you want to update before doing this. It can change a lot at once.
This replaces text inside formulas only. It does not understand the logic of the formula, so review your results after using Replace All.
